These works are part of an approach exploring how the world settles within us. Each canvas becomes a sensitive territory, between fragments of memory, lived experiences, and the emergence of an inner light.
The Great Crossing explores the experience of inner movement: that fragile moment when one moves forward in an unknown territory without a real map, carried only by intuition and the need to go further.
Through a composition of transitions, overlaps, and bursts of color, the work evokes adaptation to a new space—whether emotional, relational, or symbolic. Open, luminous areas contrast with denser, deeper masses, recalling the uncertainty that accompanies periods of transition. Yet, despite this sense of instability, something in the work remains calm and grounded: a quiet confidence that invites us to fully embrace the unknown rather than resist it.
The intersecting lines and fragmented forms then become temporary landmarks, places of passage where one gradually learns to inhabit what initially seemed foreign. Like a refuge that is slowly built, the work speaks of this human capacity to tame discomfort, to transform oneself through contact with a new territory, and to discover, over time, an unexpected form of equilibrium.
The great crossing thus suggests that time acts like a living substance: it softens the contours, connects the fragments and ultimately brings forth a sense of belonging where uncertainty previously reigned.
